
About Dr. Rehab Abdelrazak
Dr Rehab Abdelrazak is a Specialist Psychiatrist with more than 14 years of clinical experience, providing comprehensive mental health care for adults, children and adolescents. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery and a Doctorate in Psychiatry from the Sudan Medical Council for Medical Specializations. Dr Abdelrazak has held several senior roles across major hospitals in Sudan. She previously served as Head of the Psychiatry Department at the Academic Charity Hospital, and worked as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Blue Nile University. Her clinical background includes posts at Damazin Teaching Hospital, the Military Medical Hospital, Taha Baasher Hospital, Tigani El Mahi Hospital and Hayat Centre for Addiction and Rehabilitation. She is also a certified trainer for Family Medicine residents and has participated in psychiatry examinations across multiple Sudanese universities. Dr Abdelrazak is committed to continuous professional development, having completed training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and stress management. Her clinical expertise covers the full spectrum of adult mental health disorders, including depressive disorders, borderline personality disorder, phobias and social anxiety, panic disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, acute stress reactions, obsessive–compulsive disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, psychosomatic conditions, illness anxiety disorder, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. She also provides specialist assessment and treatment for child and adolescent mental health disorders, including intellectual disability, speech and language delay, autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, tic disorders, childhood anxiety, separation anxiety, behavioural difficulties, and elimination disorders such as nocturnal enuresis. Dr Abdelrazak has extensive experience managing personality disorders, behavioural conditions and addiction, including dependence on cannabis, opioids, stimulants, synthetic drugs and alcohol. She also treats psychogenic sexual disorders, gender identity-related concerns and sleep disorders. A range of psychological tests and assessment tools is available as part of her practice, including IQ testing (Stanford–Binet), autism and ADHD assessments, learning difficulty evaluations, behavioural assessments and validated scales for anxiety, depression and obsessive–compulsive symptoms.
