About Dr. Nadia Kambal

Dr Nadia Kambal is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience across general adult and liaison psychiatry services. She currently practises in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, where she provides outpatient psychiatric assessment and treatment, alongside continued academic and clinical leadership roles in Sudan. Dr Kambal obtained her Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Khartoum and completed her MD in Psychiatry through the Sudan Medical Specialization Board. Her clinical career has included senior consultant roles within hospital and community mental health services, with extensive experience in neuropsychiatry, substance use disorders, and crisis intervention. She is currently a Consultant Psychiatrist at Emirate International Medical Center and Up to Date Medical Center, where her work includes comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management. Her practice incorporates diagnostic assessment, interpretation of investigations, and the application of evidence-based psychiatric treatments. Alongside her clinical work, Dr Kambal has served for many years as Head of the Department of Psychiatry at the Alzaeim Alazhari University Faculty of Medicine. She has also held long-standing consultant posts at Altigani Almahi Psychiatric Hospital and Military Hospital in Khartoum, contributing to specialist care, service development, and postgraduate training.
